US FEDERATION OF UNESCO CHARACTER EDUCATION CLUB

UNESCO, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, a specialized agency of the United Nations, was founded on 16 November 1945.

The global perspective helps students understand how events worldwide are interconnected. Due to the Color the World with Character Traits Poster Drive, our Character Week Efforts are connected with the global community. Therefore, we created a Character Education Club.

It is recognized by the U.S. Federation of UNESCO Clubs & Associations (USFUCA) as a formal UNESCO Club. Through the U.S. Federation, we are joining a network of grassroots activists working daily to help make our world a better place.

In taking UNESCO’s name, our Club commits itself to subscribe to the general principles underlying the Organization’s action. However, although UNESCO allows its name to be used by us recognized by the National Commission for UNESCO or the Federation of Clubs in the country concerned, this does not create any official link between UNESCO and our Club, whose activities are the concern of the National Commission.
